Pay Per Click Traffic Pays Dividends

There have been many articles written about me, especially going back a few years when I gained some measure of fame as a twelve year with my own web design company. It’s kind of funny, because I had actually been doing that since I was eleven and had been paid for working on nearly twenty different sites before a local newspaper reporter had a slow day and wrote up a feature about me. That first article got picked up by the national papers and next thing I knew I was on talk shows and being featured in magazines and web profiles. It was what we’d now refer to as going viral.

Business has been good, because these early. I finished high school and spent a year sharpening my Java and Ajax skills. I’m still heavily involved in web site development, but one of the things I’ve learned as I’ve grown personally and professionally, am to understand my limitations. I do a good job of building quality web sites that are functional, attractive and reasonably priced. That’s what I’m good at. However, I am not a marketing guru. Therefore, when a company engaged in the service, I create a new site for them, what I can do is to effectively optimize their website’s search engine. Nor can I magically direct web traffic to their new site. I usually recommend a company engage an SEO services firm to fine-tune my work, then hire a marketing firm to implement a pay per click program that will get them the traffic they want to see.

I set up the website for their company and there were no significant changes in it from the first day. I made some changes to address some of the early rash code (and what do you expect from a 12-year-old?) and I grudgingly dropped in a Flash intro, but that’s been about it. A few years ago, I hired an SEO services consultant who did an awesome job of rewriting my content and that led to a significant boost in hits via visitors who reached my site from search engines. Earlier this year, I decided I would like to withdraw from the big guns and the expansion of. This time, I hired a marketing research company we offer through the words Google AdSense and I have been exposed to pay-per-click through a lot of traffic increased, so that I can barely keep up with orders.

I don’t mean e-commerce website, but in case of a content website which makes its income based on advertisements(it can be Adsense,Adbriter or even an advertiser without coming from a Advertising Programm) how much in taxes does a webmaster has to pay in USA?

IM TRYING TO REASEARCH WAYS TO MAKE A SUCCESFUL BLOG ON GOOGLE ADSENSE… PLEASE DONT TRY TO SELL ME UR PROGRAM, IM A SINGLE MOTHER WITH NO MONEY TRYING TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO MAKE A SUCCESFUL PAGE. I UNDERSTAND IT TAKES TIME AND IM WILLING TO DO IT.. ANY ADVICE OR LINKS TO PAGES WOULD REALLY HELP ME OUT…. THANKS GUYS.. I WAS THINKING ABOUT BLOGGING ABOUT MARIJUANA USE… AND THE EFFECTS OF IT.. I WANTED TO RESEARCH INFORMATION AND MY OWN INPUT SINCE I HAVE SMOKED FOR 10 YRS AND NOTHING PRODUCTIVE HAS CAME FROM IT.. SO I JUST WANT TO LET PPL KNOW WHAT NEGATIVE EFFECTS IT HAD ON ME.. IS THIS A GOOD IDEA..

I am going to place Google Adsense script on my website, although I don't have good programming skills. Is it hard to place Adsense on my site myself, or do I need someone with programming knowledge to do it for me?

I have been in Internet Marketing for many years. I already use AdSense, AdBrite, Text Ads, PerformancingAds and several others. Most cases, such as AdSense thrive on website content, but my website is very similar to Flickr and is 95% images with very little text. I need something more suited to image ads/content. (Yes, I use AdSense banners already). Thanks everyone.
To clarify, the issue is not with the traffic amount, the issue is with the CPM. The CPM number has dropped significantly, while traffic has maintained itself. The question is inquiring into different types of advertising (ie: watermarked photos, ads that appear in the footer area of a photo, etc, etc) Thanks.
