- You need to put text in your site to have targeted ads. Adsense mediabot will not be able to read your images, so the more text on the page, the better

- You might find the ads to be low-paying, with fewer advertisers and your ads getting low clickthrough rates as art is not typically a competitive space in Adwords. Hence, income from Adsense may not be what you are expecting

But try it and apply at http://www.google.com/adsense – making sure that your pages have lots of text on them in addition to the images. This way you stand a better chance at getting accepted to the program
