Is there much of a market for those kinds of photos? I know I can sell JPG’s on ebay (one inparticular has sold for 70 cents every time I placed it on ebay) but with billions of free images online that you can search for and use as desktop backgrounds and maybe even print out and use as prints, is there a market for photos other than business related in stock? Apparently a small market, but i was wondering if I should give up selling my photos and maybe make a site and show them off and have google adsense embeded in that site (as I have heard of other nature/landscape photographers doing). Is there a way i could do both? Maybe sell the best ones and when showing them off on my site, watermark them and make them smaller on the page so they aren’t as good of quality for prints/desktop? That way they would buy them for only 50 cents? What do you guys think?
I did have a question on some certain photos in particular, but this question is the market in general, like lets pretend they are fascinating (hopefully someday they will be!). Thanks for the info so far, you are giving me hope! So you are saying there is still a market?
Lol indeed I wish I could sell for more than 50 cents, but with all the microstock site and the economy, I just didn’t feel anyone would pay more than 50 cents (or 70 cents as I have experienced) for JPG’s, thanks for the answers so far! They are really encouraging!
