How I Make Money Blogging

THE KEYS TO PROFITABLE BLOGGING

Blogging may have started out as a way to express yourself, like a diary or online journal, but recently many, myself included, have found that we can use our personal stories, ideas, passions and writing skills to make money.

How, you ask?  I target a highly interested audience of readers who are also consumers. In other words, make money blogging must attract those people who readily spend money to pursue their hobbies, interests and desires.

I find that in order to make money blogging it is imperative that you create or acquire interesting content, content that people are looking for, that they’ll talk to their friends about and come back for over and over again.

You must give ongoing value to get visitors to return to your site repeatedly, and for them to want to share your site with others.

Then just pick a theme, niche, or topic, and start writing!  I know this is an over simplification, but it also contains the essence of what is required. Then, even if you have no product of your own, you can still make money from your blog by selling and displaying advertising, earning commissions recommending products and other activities.   Details?  Read on.

WHAT IF YOU DON’T LIKE TO WRITE?

I write reasonably well, but finding the time is a big problem. Many people think they can’t blog if they don’t enjoy writing or feel they aren’t talented writers, but don’t let that stop you.  There are many sources of content beyond what you create yourself. You can sign up for RSS feeds that will actually insert original or PLR articles into your blog.  You can also hire a ghostwriter directly to write articles.

Personally I enjoy rewriting PLR and RSS feeds even more than creating from scratch.  It reduces research to nearly zero, and allows me to save my creativity for other areas.

HOW TO GET STARTED

You can actually start your blog completely for free. There are services like Blogger.com that make it super easy.  Blogger’s Paycheck experts recommend that those seriously seeking profit should strongly consider WordPress, but in a different way than is explained at WordPress.com.

You can jump right in, and learn from your own mistakes as you go, or you can use tried and true methods. You can have a blog that stands out among the rest. You can have a blog that gets traffic and makes sales day after day after day. The only way to make that happen, is to learning from a someone who has already done what you want to doging.

I tried a number of available programs, but my “hands down” favorite is Blogger’s Paycheck. I use it with Expert WordPress! which not only shows you how to install WordPress. but complements Blogger’s Paycheck beautifully. I have used these two programs since they were released, and the results have been very positive indeed.

HOW DO I START BLOGGING NOW?

After seeing the tons of blogs out there on the internet that are successful, interesting, highly ranked on the search engines and making a ton of money, many people ask me this question every day.  This article is my best attempt answer the question.

Three Methods To Make Money Blogging

Choosing how to monetize your blog is a huge decision! There are many ways to make money blogging and it can be hard to figure out which way to go.  There are many different options and it can be difficult to judge which type your readers will respond to most. Take a look at these different options, and make your choice with your readers and the market overall in mind.

Choice #1: Adsense

Adsense is probably the easiest way to monetize — and the most difficult! It’s easy because it’s just a simple code that Google gives you (they even automatically match up the ads for you!). You make money as soon as someone clicks on your ads, whether they actually go on to make a purchase or not. Adsense can also be incredibly difficult. You usually get paid a few cents per click and it can take a lot of traffic for it to add up to something that is even remotely worth your while.

Adsense might be a good thing to test, especially as you’re getting your feet wet with blogging. If you’re in the right market and find the right ad positions and colors, it can certainly turn into a nice hands-off income for you.

#2: Affiliate Products

Working as an affiliate selling other people’s products is an incredible way to make money blogging. For one thing, you get to earn money from the products without having to fulfill them yourself or deal with customer service issues. Nothing is better than that! The returns are usually higher than with Adsense, provided you’re able to find an offer that converts well with the people who visit your website.

You will have to decide if you want to sell digital or physical products. This decision will likely come down to what kind of niche you’re in and how your site visitors will respond.

Choice #3: Creating Your Own Products

After you get a loyal following of readers it’s easier than ever to create and sell your own information product! You’ll have to fulfill the orders and deal with customer service issues, but the tradeoff is that you get to keep all the money! You are also the one who knows your readers best, so you’re likely to come up with an offer that converts extremely well since it’s exactly what they want.

You can write an ebook, create a membership site, deliver a paid e-course, create a video series, or record audio. If you want to make the package even better you can offer several different options for extra value. The options are endless when it comes to monetizing with your own products. Some of your blog readers might eventually want to become an affiliate of yours as well!

As you look at these different options you might start to feel overwhelmed. That’s perfectly normal! It’s tough to figure out the best path to take when you are just beginning a new niche. A good way to get a feel for the best way to do things is to see what other blogs and sites in your niche are doing. You’re not trying to copy them, you’re simply taking note of what works and using it yourself.  There are also many programs available that can take you by the hand and help you to make money blogging!  The most important thing is to have fun and keep moving forward!

The blogging trend surely integrates in the second generation of web services know as Web 2.0 since this is the most handy platform for all Internet moves. What is there for bloggers with Web 2.0? First of all, the whole aim of the new web-technology is to facilitate collaboration and sharing between users, on the one hand, and gain the usage rate on the other hand. The next good question that rises here is the best way to increase traffic in the conditions of the transition to sites that are of high quality articles.

First of all, we need to discuss here that with blogs web information is no longer centralized in terms of authority, not to mention that the freedom to use and re-use material is limitless. From a certain point of view blogs become a real market, in which content is the transaction environment. Hence, Web 2.0 traffic tactics primarily gravitate around the optimization of blog content for gain placement on the search engines. In order to keep yourself from dissapointment, try not to aim too high for from the absolute beginning, it is nearly impossible to receive a large amount of readers from the first day you promote your blog.

The key to acquiring good traffic is to keep on going and service quality. Articles has to be refreshed every week if not more often; in order to make that an simpler task, it is ok to change some of the content, even if you don’t substitute it all. With the large number of applications available with Web 2.0, if you place a Google search box on to your blog, so that any reader will be able to do further search directly for your page. What’s in it for you? You make the visitor stay on your site and this may increase the chances of your visitor returning to your site.

Visitors have become more interested in blogs that have RSS feeds; well, you’ll have to let Internet users know that as soon as you can! In the begining, graphics were the best means to let the readers know of an RSS feed; the best advantage now is that you may adjust the very colors used for this graphic to the theme or topic specific to the blog itself. The system is made in such an easy to use way that all you have to do is enter the text and the color scheme and then a feed button is generated right away.
