I have this dating site for 1.5 months (in the beginning I had less than 100 users) since I am on Adwords too (0/day) now I have about 2900 users but the return from adsense on my pages started from 3, 4 dollars/day to now 30/ 40 dollars a day which is much less than what I am paying for the adwords, but I am hoping for the returning users after I have more of them.

On October my average Page CTR was 1.14% and for November so far it is 2.17%

Is this whole thing normal or I can have more money to be returned from site than what it is doing right now?

Any tips or ideas? Because soon I will run out of money

Thanks blake, but the thing with dating site is that if I stop adwords, I am sure I am not gonna have many new users everyday and this will cause my existing users to stop coming back online to the site and all my investment will go away…
Its a dating site, many big guys out there and search engines return those guys at the top first..

I kinda looked into google adsense and from what I understand is you pay them for keywords and when people search on google and click the sponsored ads, you get money. I believe it to be real, since it is Google, my question is, do I need a make a website to benefit from google adsense?

I have a music site that allows people to search for tracks or artists or albums and then listen to them streamed online. It does not require any software installation and the streaming music player is proprietary opens up in browser. The site is desgined to look google like simple, I will have two banners one on top of the search results and one the bottom. Also I will have one banner ad in the music player.

I get 13,000 uniques a day most of whom are regulars since they come back to the site daily when they want to listen to music and many of whom are on for extended periods of time, as they listen to several tracks.

I am using adsense right now but think I will make more money by using weekly rate banners. For example 0 a week for one of the main banners or 0 a week for the music player banner.
